LAN Traffic Meter
LAN Traffic metering allows you to measure and limit the traffic routed by a LAN user(specified by IP).
LAN IP Address
IP Address of the LAN user.
Direction
The direction of traffic which has to be metered - Inbound or both Inbound and Outbound.
Limit
Maximum limit of traffic for the given direction specified.It is shown in MB.
Traffic
Traffic ,in the given direction, metered so far.
State
State of traffic in the direction specified - Allowed or Blocked.
Select All: Selects all the entries in the LAN Traffic Meter Account table.
Delete: Deletes selected entries from the LAN Traffic Meter Account table.
Add
To add a meter account for a LAN IP address click Add.
Add LAN Traffic Meter Account
Add an account for a LAN user(specified by IP Address) to meter and limit the traffic.
LAN IP Address
Enter the IP Address of the LAN user whose traffic has to be metered.
Direction
Select the direction of the meter.
Inbound - To meter and limit the inbound traffic for the specified LAN user.
Both - Both inbound and outbound traffic for the specified LAN user is metered and limited.
Limit
Limit for the traffic , in the specified direction, has to be given. Limit is given in MB. From a minimum of 100 MB to a maximum of 256000 MB(~250 GB) can be given.
Traffic Counter
Specify the type of action to be taken on the Traffic Counter.
Restart Counter Now: Select this option and click Apply to reset the counter to zero immediately.
Restart Traffic Counter at Specific Time : Set a schedule for the Traffic Counter to restart. Typically, this is the last day of the month. Set the appropriate time and day of the month.
Send E-mail Report before restarting counter: Select this option to receive an email report before the Traffic Counter is restarted.
Note: The Enable E-Mail Logs section in the Firewall Logs & E-mail page must to be configured for this to function.
When Limit is Reached
Select Block to block the traffic without any alert email. The traffic is blocked in the same direction for which the meter is configured. For ex. if the meter is configured for Inbound direction then when the limit is reached, the Inbound traffic for that IP is blocked
Select Send Email Alert and Block to send an alert email before blocking traffic for the LAN user.
Note: The Enable E-Mail Logs section in the Firewall Logs & E-mail page must to be configured for this to function.
Click Apply to submit the changes.
Click Reset to revert to the previous settings.
Edit LAN Traffic Meter Account
Edit the account for a LAN user(specified by IP Address) to meter and limit the traffic.
LAN IP Address
The IP Address of the LAN user whose traffic is being metered and limited.
Direction

Inbound - To meter and limit the inbound traffic for the specified LAN user.
Both - Both inbound and outbound traffic for the specified LAN user is metered and limited.

LAN IP Traffic Statistics
If Traffic Metering is enabled for this LAN IP, the following statistics will be displayed:
Start Date/Time: The date on which the Traffic Meter was started
Outgoing Traffic Volume: The volume of traffic, in Megabytes, that was uploaded from this IP. This is displayed only when the meter 'Direction' is 'Both'.
Incoming Traffic Volume: The volume of traffic, in Megabytes, that was downloaded or sent to this LAN IP from WAN.
Total Traffic Volume: The amount of traffic, in Megabytes, that passed to and from this LAN IP.
State: The state of the traffic flow in the specified direction.
Click Apply to submit the changes.
Click Reset to revert to the previous settings.
