Set Date, Time and NTP Servers |
This page is used to set the date, time and NTP servers. Network Time Protocol (NTP)
is a protocol that is used to synchronize computer clock times in a network of
computers. Accurate time across a network is important for many reasons. |
Set Time, Date and NTP Servers |
Select the Local Time Zone. Required in order for the schedule to work
correctly. The router includes a Real-Time Clock (RTC), which is used for
scheduling. |
If supported for your region, you can check
Automatically adjust for Daylight
Savings Time. |
Use Default NTP Servers: If this is enabled, then the RTC (Real-Time Clock) is
updated regularly by contacting a Default Netgear NTP Server on the Internet. |
Use Custom NTP Servers: If you prefer to use a particular NTP server, enable
this and enter the name or IP address of an NTP Server in the Server 1 Name/IP
Address field. If required, you can also enter the address of another NTP server
in the Server 2 Name/IP Address field. If you select this option and leave
either
Server 1 or
Server 2 fields empty, they will be set to the
Default Netgear NTP servers (time-a.netgear.com, time-b.netgear.com, etc.). |
