Wireless Router Settings |
v |
RTS (Request to Send) Threshold: This is the packet
size used in the low level RF protocol implemented by this wireless gateway; the
default is 2346. Generally this should not be changed to avoid potential
communication failures. |
v |
Fragmentation Length: this is the maximum packet
size used for fragmentation, and it must be larger than or equal to the RTS
packet size. Default is 2346. |
v |
Beacon Interval: This specifies the interval of
time (in ms) between beacon transmissions. The value must be between 20 ms and
1000 ms, with the default being 100 ms. |
v |
Preamble Mode: Choose between a
Long Preamble
(potentially providing a longer service range or more reliable connection) and
Automatic (better overall performance by providing both long and short transmit
preambles). |
|
SuperG Settings |
v |
Enable 108Mbp Features to double the throughput of the 802.11g connection
(typically 54 Mbps) to 108 Mbps. The wireless gateway is SuperGŪ enabled. Only
SuperG compatible wireless clients can connect to the wireless gateway at these
speeds. NOTE: SuperG can be used in Channel 6 is only. |
v |
Enable eXtended Range(XR) Feature to provide significantly longer range than
basic 802.11 by maintaining a connection even through dense barriers (walls,
floors etc). With improved error correction and lowered noise vulnerability,
faint connections are allowed to maintain connectivity. This feature is
available only for SuperG compatible wireless devices. |
