Known Issues:

• After updating the router firmware, clients can be steered to the router because the wireless readiness in the router is faster than the wireless readiness in the satellite. Connected clients might notice a slower throughput or a weaker signal as they are connected to the router when in fact they may be closer to the satellite Workaround: Disconnecting from the wireless network then re-connecting will force the wireless client to connect to the device (router or satellite) which is giving the stronger signal.
• Two bases in the same mesh network, such as the Orbi Pro WiFi 6 base (SXR80 router) with another Orbi Pro base (router), results in a configuration conflict on sync up. Workaround: Use only one SXR80 base in the network, and only use SXS80 satellites. Do not try to combine SXK80 WiFi 6 devices with Orbi/Orbi Pro products.
• In a topology with a single base and 5 satellites, the 5^th satellite connection to the base won't be stable. Workaround: Use only 4 satellites. This will be fixed in an upcoming firmware release.

Firmware Update Instructions:

If the Orbi Pro WiFi 6 is connected to the Insight cloud, perform a firmware update through the firmware schedule policy, or manually perform a firmware update using the Insight app or local browser interface.

To update the Orbi Pro WiFi 6 firmware from the local browser interface, follow the instructions in your product’s user manual. To find your user manual, visit https://www.netgear.com/support/, enter your model number in the search box, and click Documentation on the product page. We highly recommend updating the satellite firmware first, and then updating the router firmware.

After updating to the latest firmware, make sure to update your version of the NETGEAR Insight app for the best functionality and user experience.
