New Features and Enhancements:

  1. Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.2.
  2. Improve the LOG message to indicate the reason for login failure.

Bug Fixes:

  1. Looking up MIB object identifier (OID) 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.11.1.2.15.9.1.5 does not return correct Spanning Tree (STP) status.
  2. Fixed issue where the switch sometimes reset when configuring the DNS server.

Known Issues:

  1. When the FW is upgraded to v6.6.4.25 and the switch is rebooted, sometimes the switch does not complete the boot-up process, and the power LED remains yellow. Workaround : Do a power cycle to the S3300 manually.
  2. SFP+ model AXM765 cannot be used for 10G stacking. Workaround : Use other SFP+ models, such as AXM761, AXM762, AXM763, or use DAC cable AXC761/AXC763 instead.
  3. RPS/AC hot swap (quickly unplugging and plugging back in) sometimes does not take effect after reconnecting the APS1000W power cord. Workaround : Reconnect the APS1000W power cord slowly.
  4. The S3300 console can become unresponsive if the Reset button is pressed repeatedly while the firmware is reloading. Workaround : Power cycle the switch. Important: Do NOT press the Reset button when firmware is reloading.

Limitations

  1. The EAV (Ethernet Audio Video) feature is supported only on a standalone S3300 switch. Standalone mode means that all four 10G stacking ports are running in Ethernet mode.
  2. Only the smart switch that functions as the master unit (either a standalone switch or the master switch in a stack) can detect and manage an attached USB device.

Warnings:

  1. The released zip contains switch firmware (s3300v6.6.4.25.stk) and MIB files. Unzip the file to extract the switch image for firmware upgrade.
  2. Download v6.6.4.25 to both active and inactive (backup) images when upgrading from v6.4.0.x firmware.
  3. Clear the browser cache to access the switch's device UI after updating the firmware to v6.6.4.25 from v6.4.0.x, v6.6.0.x, or v6.6.1.x firmware.
  4. See the detailed description about updating the 6.6.4.x firmware in the S3300 Series User Manual, section "Smart M4300/S3300 Firmware Upgrade Procedure", which describes how to configure a mixed-stack system with both the S3300 and the M4300 using 6.6.4.x firmware.
