New Features and Enhancements:

  1. Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.2
  2. Improve the log message to indicate the reason for login failure.

Bug Fixes:

  1. Looking up MIB object identifier (OID) 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.11.1.2.15.9.1.5 does not return correct Spanning Tree (STP) status.
  2. Switch may reset when configuring the DNS server.

Known Issues:

  1. When the FW is upgraded to v6.6.4.25 and the switch is rebooted, sometimes the switch does not complete the boot-up process, and the power LED remains yellow. Workaround: Manually power down XSM4324S and XSM4324CS and then power it on again (power cycle).
  2. SFP+ model AXM765 does not support 10G stacking. Workaround: Use other SFP+ models instead, including the AXM761, AXM762, or AXM763; or use a DAC cable with the AXC761 or AXC763.

Firmware Update Instructions:

Firmware version 6.6.4.7 and above enables you to mix-stack the M4300-12X12F and M4300-24X with the S3300 series of Smart Switches.

Below are special notes and restrictions when stacking these two series of switches. Note: These are the same contents as in the release notes of 6.6.4.7.

1.   M4300-12X12F, M4300-24X (hereafter referred to collectively as M4300) and the S3300 series have separate 6.6.4.x images to support mixed stacking.

For detailed instructions on upgrading the M4300/S3300 firmware, refer to the section on "Smart M4300/S3300 Firmware Upgrade Procedure" on 6.6.4.x firmware in the S3300 User Manual (page 356~359).

2.   On the two M4300 models, a maximum of four 10G ports (any 4 of 8 available ports listed below) can be configured as stacking ports.

3.  The M4300 with the 6.6.4.x image scales down to the S3300 feature set to become part of the stacking.

4. New features for M4300 running smart 6.6.4.x image.
