• Updated the default web browser protocol to HTTPS

• QoS settings for profiles are applied only after you create a profile

Bug Fixes:

This firmware addresses the following bugs:

• Fixes the issue where switches lose configured IP address 192.168.0.x subnet on the routing VLAN after reboot. [MS-2475]
• Fixes the issue where the switch logs an error message relating to memory for MLAG after running for 14 days. [MS-4925]
• Fixes the issue where the switch fails to learn IGMP groups when a policy for DSCP 48 is configured and assigned to COS queue 4. [MS-4945]
• Fixes the issue where you cannot use the user name in the password. [MS-5038]
• Fixes the issue where MLD query packets flood in a large network. [CE-7028]
• Fixes the issue where the InDropPkts counter includes the dropped unknown multicast packets. [CE-7062]

Known Issues:

This firmware contains the following known issues:

• M4500 does not support RPVSTP for the DICENTIS Conference system profile—connect Bosch devices to other switch models and uses M4500 as a core switch only.
• The M4500 is offline and inaccessible after you change the management VLAN in the Engage Controller.
  Workaround: Do not change the management VLAN when the M4500 is on site or manually add the VLAN to the interface using the CLI. See the below example:
  (Switch) (Interface) # switchport allowed vlan add X
  (Switch) (Interface) # switchport native vlan X

General Information:

• AppMgr is upgraded to version 1.0.4.27 in this switch firmware.
• If the encrypted password in the configuration file does not adhere to the NETGEAR password policy, when the configuration file is loaded on the firmware version 7.0.4.26, you must create a new password during the initial login.

Firmware Update Instructions:

• If your firmware is below 7.0.3.21, first upgrade to the interim version 7.0.3.21 using either AVUI or CLI.
• If your firmware is exactly 7.0.3.21, upgrade to 7.0.4.12 using only the firmware in:
  https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/M4500/CSM4532_XSM4556_V7.0.4.12.zip
• If your firmware is 7.0.4.x or newer, you can upgrade directly to 7.0.4.30 using AVUI or CLI.
