Bug Fixes:

This firmware addresses the following bugs:

• Fixed an issue where continuous DHCPv6 packet causes switches to reboot unexpectedly. [CE-7265]
• Fixed an issue where switches occasionally crash when setting up routing in a specific sequence. [MS-5373]
• Fixed the issue where creating a Tagged VLAN Port in an AVB VLAN Profile incorrectly changes the MTU to 9198. [CE-7632]
• Fixed the issue where PTP TC is not enabled on a manual LAG interface when using Manual Trunk. [CE-7608]
• Fixed the issue where the Audio Dante profile auto-trunk port retains “no spanning tree port mode” configuration after connecting. [PV-6886]
• Fixed the issue where AVUI rejects subnet mask 255.255.255.254 with an incorrect subnet error. [CE-7650]
• Fixed the issue where NVX profile cannot be applied to ports 25-48 of the secondary switch in a stacked GSM4352PS configuration. [CE-7512]
• Fixed the issue where PVST is disabled on a VLAN after deleting and re-creating a DICENTIS Conference System profile on that VLAN. [CE-7469]

Known Issues:

This AV UI contains the following known issues:

• gPTP Clock Master Causes Time Drift with AVB MILAN Devices If the switch becomes the gPTP clock master, time drift issues may occur when AVB MILAN devices are in use. 

Workaround: When creating an "Audio Video AVB MILAN" profile in AVUI, set the Local Clock Priority 1 and Priority 2 values to 255 to prevent the switch from acting as the clock master.

• Stale Spanning Tree Configuration After Firmware Upgrade from AVUI 2.2.13.29 when upgrading firmware from AVUI 2.2.13.29 to the current release, access port configurations with no spanning-tree port mode may persist. If Dante devices are connected using redundancy ports, this can cause a network loop. 

Workaround: Manually clear the stale configuration by setting the affected interfaces back to spanning-tree port mode.

• Kramer AV Single-VLAN Profile Cannot Be Modified When Using VLAN 1 If a Kramer AV profile is created with a single VLAN and that VLAN is VLAN 1, the profile cannot be modified to another single-VLAN profile. 

Workaround: Use a VLAN ID other than VLAN 1 when creating a single-VLAN Kramer AV profile.

This firmware contains the following known issues:

• After you upgrade the firmware from 12.0.9.x to 12.0.11.x or a newer release, when you use the main UI, and you select Routing > Multicast > Mroute Static-Multicast Configuration, the page does not display automatically.
  Workaround: After the firmware upgrade, clear your browser cache.
• When you manually enable the Auto Negotiation through the CLI, it does not display as “Enabled” in the AV UI.
  Workaround: Configure and verify Auto Negotiation through the CLI.
• G&D Control Center IP devices fail to link up with the switch

Workaround: Manually set the switch port speed to 1G to establish the link.

Warnings:

Read and follow these warnings before updating your firmware:

• For user passwords, line passwords, and enable passwords that are encrypted with AES in firmware release 12.0.15.7 or earlier releases, automatic migration is supported to the more secure SHA512 in release 12.0.17.6 or later releases.
• User passwords, line passwords, and enable passwords that are encrypted with MD5 (salted) in firmware release 12.0.15.7 or earlier releases are not migrated to release 12.0.17.6 or later releases, so they must be set manually.
• SNMPv3 MD5 and SHA-based passwords from firmware release 12.0.15.7 or earlier releases are not migrated to release 12.0.17.6 or later releases, so they must be set manually.

General Information:

• The boot code remains at the existing version 1.0.0.18 in this switch firmware.
• The process of upgrading the firmware and boot code takes about three minutes. Apply the “update bootcode” command from the command line interface. Do not switch off or restart the device during the upgrade process.
• AppMgr is upgraded to version 1.0.6.16 in this switch firmware.
