New Features and Enhancements:

• The maximum number of LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) neighbors supported by the switch has been increased. This enhancement improves compatibility in environments with high device density and ensures more comprehensive network topology discovery.

Bug Fix:

• Fixes the issue where the switch could go offline in Insight when using a Layer 3 VLAN. The update ensures the switch stays connected in this setup.

Warnings:

Read and follow these warnings before you update firmware version 6.0.8.x or an earlier version to version 6.0.9.1 or a later version:

• After you update the switch firmware to version 6.0.9.1 or a later version, we recommend that you do not downgrade to version 6.0.8.x or an earlier version.
• Because HTTPS is disabled by default, the login page of the device UI does not display automatically after you use HTTPS to update to version 6.0.9.1 or a later version. Open a new web browser tab and type the switch’s IP address to access the login page.
• The SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 default community strings Private and Public are not available in version 6.0.9.1 or a later version. We recommend that you set a different community string before updating the firmware.
• The authentication protocol for SNMPv3 automatically changes to MD5 if the current setting is None.
• The default setting for the Smart Control Center (SCC) management option changes from enabled to disabled. Note: The SCC Utility can still discover the switch.
