WNR3500 Firmware Version 1.0.30 (WW and NA users)

Note: Do not upgrade the firmware using a wireless connection. Please perform firmware upgrade with “wired” or Ethernet connection only.

New Features and Bug Fixes

  1. Fix scheduled service blocking doesn't work beyond 23:59 to 00:01.
  2. Fix multiple large files downloaded in the same time from Internet issue.
  3. Support on "Disable Router's PIN" feature in GUI.
  4. Fix the GUI display issue in Firefox/Sarafi. (SSID is "Beaconfi House", but it shows "Beaconfi &nbspHouse" in the Router Status page).
  5. Fix GUI issue: If to disable SSID Broadcasting, the WMM (Wi-Fi multi Media) Settings and Preamble settings will be changed to disable.
  6. Fix the connection problem with Motorola MSTATEA 2210 DSL modem at "PPP on PC" mode.
  7. Fix to upgrade the same firmware version through remote PC control problem.
  8. Fix WPS AP PIN method is not working on AP configured mode.
  9. Pass the Microsoft Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool in UPnP item under Vista OS.
  10. Fix the UPnP daemon crash issue when access specific UPnP link.

Known Issues

  1. WDS link in 11n mode from WNR3500 will fail to connect with WGR614v8 and WPN824v3.
  2. If you originally have set your region on your wireless network to Mexico, South America, or United States, upgrading to the v1.0.30WW will set your router to a different region.  Follow the steps below to correct these settings.

Important Notice:

After upgrading to this firmware version, you may have to set the region on your router’s wireless settings based on your location.

How to set the region on your wireless router?

  1. Log in to router by typing www.routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1 using a web browser.
  2. Under Setup menu, select Wireless settings.
  3. Under Wireless Network, select the correct region from the list.
  4. Click Apply.

To Upgrade

Note: Do not upgrade the firmware using a wireless connection. Please perform firmware upgrade with “wired” or Ethernet connection only.

  1. Write down all the settings which you changed from the default values, since you may need to reenter them manually.
  2. Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your desktop.
  3. Log in to the router using a Web broswer. The URL is http://192.168.1.1 ( if you did not change the router’s IP address ).
  4. Click Maintenance > Router Upgrade
  5. Click Browse and find the file you just downloaded.
  6. Click Upload. Do not interrupt the upgrade while the router does this step. 
    Important Note: The upgrade process is completed when the on screen progress bar completes. If power LED light turns amber and blinking, power cycle the router to complete the upgrade.

 

Maximum wireless signal rate derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual data throughput will vary. Network conditions and environmental factors, including volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, and network overhead, lower actual data throughput rate.
