New Features and Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue that sometimes some wireless clients after being connected for hours might lose IP address from the router

• Fixed the issue that a successful login to the router will record an additional "[admin login failure]" entry
• Fixed the issue that in browser Safari it shows "No internet connection" with Auto Firmware Update assistant even if the connection is OK

Known Issues

1. Occasionally Intel Centrino wireless adapter loses connection to the router, it will either auto-reconnect, or require a manual reconnect.
   NETGEAR recommends customers to use Windows configuration utility, instead of Intel ProSet utility or ThinkAdvantage Access Connection utility.
2. Sometimes a wireless PC does not show up in the "Attached Devices" page in the GUI the first time, requiring a few refresh.
3. NOKIA E70 phone cannot register to ON DO SIP server
4. The Basic Settings page has a “Service” field, it does not allow space in the name.
5. Even if setting the PPPoE or PPTP as “Manually Connect”, the router will still automatically connect to Internet upon outbound request.
   
6. The router might experience disconnection from the Internet with Australia BigPond Internet service and require a manual re-connection, this is due to the "heartbeat" requirement by BigPond. This requirement is now obsolete by BigPond.  

To Upgrade

Note: Do not upgrade the firmware using a wireless connection. Please perform firmware upgrade with “wired” or Ethernet connection only.

1. Write down all the settings which you changed from the default values, since you may need to reenter them manually.
2. Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your desktop.
3. Log in to the router using a Web browser. The URL is http://192.168.1.1 ( if you did not change the router’s IP address ).
4. Click Maintenance > Router Upgrade
5. Click Browse and find the file you just downloaded.
6. Click Upload. Do not interrupt the upgrade while the router does this step.

Important Note: The upgrade process is completed when the on screen progress bar completes. If power LED light turns amber and blinking, power cycle the router to complete the upgrade.
