Notes

  1. WMS5316 default IP is 192.168.0.250 
  2. WMS5316 supports configuration and monitoring of following Access Point models running at least below specified firmware versions. 

            a. WNDAP350: Firmware WNDAP350_V2.0.27.
            b. WNDAP360: Firmware WNDAP360_V2.0.7.
            c. WNAP210: Firmware WNAP210_V2.0.27.
            d. WNAP320: Firmware WNAP320_V2.0.3.
            e. WG103: Firmware WG103_V2.0.37.

Support AP's:

  1. Add WNDAP360, WNAP320 support for WMS5316. 
  2. Remove WNDAP330/ WG302v2/ WN802Tv2/ WG602v4 support for WMS5316 V2.1.2

New Features and Enhancements:

  1. Allow discovery of multiple APs with factory default IP address and assign them new static IP when adding for management with WMS5316. 
  2. Selectable Corporate Channel List for Auto Channel Selection
        a.     For channel list, the administrator will be able to select what are the allowed corporate channels for 2.4GH and 5GHz band.
        b.     The Channel allocator will assign the APs within the corporate allowed channels.
  3. Wireless page configurations to be allowed with central CA also. Radio page should be configurable even with Central CA. 

Bug Fixes:

  1. Fix for onsite customer issue - tunnel flap (display issue) when there is heavy data traffic.
  2. Fix for that not show rogue AP list on monitor page when rogue AP is disabled.
  3. Fix for alternate AP getting to disconnected state when 16 Ap's are added in.
  4. Fix for Rogue AP configuration getting disabled even though it is configured as enabled and WMS is rebooted
  5. Fix for Extra Junk Character being sent along with 64 character key.
  6. Fix for Shared Secret Key in length Radius Server getting truncated to 32 when sending the configuration to AP.
  7. Fix for SNMP community string different then "public" are not discovered.
  8. Fix for Bug - WNAP210 AP model mismatch.
  9. Fix for UI Bug: IP Discovery not showing results until page refresh.
  10. Fix for bug that 5 GHz channel not populating in wireless page.

Known Issues: 

  1. An Access Point running unsupported version will not be displayed..
  2. An already configured Access Point whose SNMP settings have been changed from default may not be discovered. 
  3. Centralized channel allocation may not succeed for some APs when neighboring BSSID ( AP count) for that AP is very large i.e few hundreds.  

Upgrade Instructions:

  1. Write down all the settings which you changed from the default values, since you may need to reenter them manually.
  2. Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your desktop.
  3. Log in to access the WMS5316 via http/https browser interface via http://192.168.0.250
  4. The default username/password for WMS5316 is admin/password.
  5. Go to “Maintenance -> Upgrade -> Firmware Upgrade” page and select the file wms5316_2.1.4.15.bin and click Apply.

          This will start the software upgrade to your WMS5316.  This may take some time. Do not interrupt the upgrade process.
At the conclusion of the upgrade, your WMS5316 will reboot.
