- First Upgrade the Secondary controller followed by the slave controllers and then master controller.
UPGRADE TO 2.5.0.43 FROM STANDALONE AP FIRMWARE
The following table lists the minimum Standalone AP firmware version required before they can be discovered and converted to the Controller firmware. Customer has to upgrade to the same standalone AP firmware version, if they have to manage the AP in standalone mode.

Upgrade Instructions:
- Using the Download Link below, download and extract the new firmware to a convenient place such as your desktop. The filename after extracting is wc7520_m5-2.5.0.43.bin
Download Link: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WC7520/WC7520_V2.5.0.43.zip
- Log into the WC7520
- Select Maintenance > Upgrade from the main/submenu.
- In the Firmware Upgrade section, select Local File and click Browse.
- Locate the downloaded file and click Apply.
- This will start the software upgrade to your WC7520. This may take some time. Do not interrupt the upgrade process. At the conclusion of the upgrade, your WC7520 will reboot.
- Do NOT interrupt the upgrade process until it is done.
- If you encounter any issues with the web interface of the system following the upgrade then please clear your browser cache, restart your browser and try again.
WARNING: Stack users ! READ before upgrading
- When using Stacking setup, there is no issues if you have same password on Stack master and slaves.
- If there is different passwords on Master and Slave, First destack, change the password on master and slaves to same password and stack back.
- Now upgrade.
