If the WAC510 AP is operating in standalone mode on firmware lower than v1.2.1.6, update the firmware to v1.2.1.6 first, and then update the AP to the latest firmware. For more information, see WAC510 Firmware Version 1.2.1.6.

  1. Fixed DNS registration and auto discovery security vulnerability. Unauthorized users were able to exploit DNS record based auto configuration and auto discovery methods.
  2. Fixed firmware upgrade failure issue when all the LEDs of Access Point are disabled.
  3. Fixed connectivity issue between master and slave Access Points using WDS with WPA-PSK authentication.
  4. Improved the stability of WDS feature. Fixed various application crashes, VLAN configuration issues and Captive Portal related issues when Access points are using WDS connection
  5. Fixed multiple Security Vulnerabilities Issues related to command injection. Unauthorized user were able to inject harmful commands with system commands.
  6. Fixed issue with custom NTP server configuration using hostname instead of IP address.

NETGEAR Insight Fixes:

  1. Fixed connectivity issue between Access Point and Insight Cloud. Access Point agent module was going in sleep forever state and communication was never established between Access Point and Insight Cloud.
  2. Fixed Cloud log download failure issue.
