Managed Switch 700 series Firmware 2.5.0

Enhancements (from Version 2.4.1)

  1. Adds a filter to prevent the switch from learning non-unicast MAC address from incoming packets
  2. Adds VLAN ID when sending RADIUS accounting packet to RADIUS server
  3. Forwards Reply-Message (RADIUS Attribute 18) to the supplicant as an EAP Notification Request
  4. Adds support for "Per MAC" authentication for 802.1X in addition to the per port authentication

Installation Procedure (also found in your documentation)

1. Put the new software on a PC that has an TFTP server. The file should be in the TFTP home/root directory 
2. Go to Main Menu > Tools > Software Upgrade (in the Web or Console Interface) 
3. Select Net for Next Boot from field 
4. Verify information such as the IP address for the TFTP Server, Gateway IP address, and the file name and its path of the new image (no path is needed if the file is under TFTP root directory) 
5. Save the setting in non-volatile memory before reboot. In the Browser interface, go to Main Menu >Tools > Save Configuration, and Save. In the console interface, use Ctrl-W and confirm the change to NVRAM 
6. Restart the system with Tools > Reset. Bootstrap retrieves the new image then passes control to it. The system will execute the new software image 
7. Test the switch to make sure the new firmware is working. If you decide to keep it, go to Software Download again. Select Net & Save in Next Boot from. If you prefer the previous firmware, just reboot your switch 
8. Restart the system with Tools > Reset. The new image should over-write the old image in non-volatile memory 
9. Verify the new image by going to the Main Menu > System and check the �Software Version� information
