GS728TXS/GS752TXS Firmware Version 6.1.0.27
GS728TXS and GS752TXS are NETGEAR's new generation of Gigabit Stackable Smart Switch with new or enhanced features such as 10G uplink, Static Routing, Green Ethernet, IPv6 Service, Dot1x VLAN Assignment, DHCP Snooping and DoS (Denial of Service) protection.
This maintenance release 6.1.0.27 is to fix some critical customer issues. And in this release some more debug info was also added to help debug in customer filed.
Note:
- Maintenance release 6.1.0.x supports both GS728TXS and GS752TXS.
- Previous software release 5.2.0.x does NOT support GS728TXS.
GS728TXS and GS752TXS support the latest Smart Control Center, please use SCC version 1.1.3.2 for switch discovery, basic configuration and FW upgrades.
Fixed issues:
- Added new option of 'Crash logs' in TFTP and HTTP upload.
- Sometimes TechSupport will lose some information of "show running-config".
- Sometimes Switch reboots when downloading image to inactive image.
- Master unit will reboot while slave unit reset to factory default.
- System crash when switch stack manager.
- Switch crash when change DiffServ working status on mix stack.
- L2 forwarding blocked when make the port leave from LAG which working with Green Ethernet.
- SSL crash occurred when monitor switch status every five minutes with MIB walking in background.
- After running 7 days with IxLoad traffic(HTTP/FTP/VoIP) , Switch rebooted due to out of memory
Known issues
- Master unit is unexpectedly changed after reboot the whole stack many times.
Workaround: Assign the master unit with a higher priority.
- Stack Firmware Synchronization is not working between 6.1.0.x and 5.2.0.x Releases.
Workaround: Load 6.1.0.x build on the unit as a standalone, or to downgrade stack to 5.2.0.x and then upgrade the whole stack to 6.1.0.x.
- Interface Shaping Rate doesn't work on GS7xxTXS when shape is configured with min value 16.
Workaround: The min effective value is 51 in this release.
- Switch reboots while copy image1 to image2 using Browser IE10 and IE11.
Workaround: Use IE9.0 or Firefox instead. Note that the officially recommended browsers are IE7.0 ~ IE9.0 and Firefox20 ~22.
- Stack system can't be accessed when switchover after delete an empty unit.
Workaround: This is a corner case. When the issue occurs, all services work well; factory default the switch can recover the system.
