GS724TR/GS748TR Firmware Version 3.0.3
Modifications / Fixes:
- Fix the problem that erroneous error message pops up when deleting the image from Web UI (Maintenance-> File-Management-> Dual image configuration)
- Fix the issue that Smartwizard Discovery tool may fail to find the switch with high-rate of background broadcast and multicast traffic.
- Fix the problem that Smartwizard fails to find GS7xxTR if the system IP is 192.168.0.x.
- Fix the problem that the system reboots when entering a long VLAN name.
- Fix the problem that LAG name is not kept after a restart.
- Monitoring > Port Mirroring page, fix the problem that Session Mode cannot be changed back to Disable.
- Fix the problem that FAN LED does not change to yellow color when the fan is stopped.
- Fix the problem that erroneous error message shows up when trying to enable STP on all interfaces.
- Add check to disallow duplicate VLAN name and LAG name being entered into the system.
- Add check to reject invalid static ARP entry.
- Fix the issue with uploading code and text configuration file.
Limitations / Known Issues:
- Refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5) will always bring you back to the login page.
Application Notes:
- It is highly recommended that you do the following before attempting to upgrade this firmware version -
- Clear the cache (remove Internet Temporary files) of your Browser.
- Reset the system to Factory defaults and save the configuration
- Unlike most of other NETGEAR Switches, configuration change does not automatically get saved. Please go to Maintenance > Save Config > Save Configuration page to save the configuration if you want the settings to be preserved after reboot.
Upgrade Instructions:
- Download the new firmware to a convenient place on your local system.
- You would need to transfer the V3.0.3 FW to the switch via one of the following methods:
- Smartwizard Discovery tool
- TFTP in Maintenance > Download > TFTP File Download page
- HTTP in Maintenance > Download > HTTP File Download page
- Go to Maintenance > File Management > Dual Image Status page; and note the image number that shows version V3.0.3.
- Go to Maintenance > File Management > Dual Image configuration page and choose the active image (image1 or image2) corresponding to V3.0.3 to be updated.
- Check the ‘Active Image’ and ‘Update Bootcode’ option. (If you upgraded using Smartwizard Discovery Tool, Active Image will be set to the new firmware automatically. You only need to check the Update Bootcode option).
- Click Apply.
- You need to reboot the switch.
- The boot code will be updated.
