GS724TR/GS748TR Firmware Version 4.0.2.2
Modifications / Fixes:
- Fix the problem of not able to save clock source if it is set to SNTP.
- Fix the problem that the host address cannot be modified after creating it in the Server Configuration Table in Monitor > Logs > Server Log.
- Fix the problem of not able to save the Admin Status for FLASH log if it is enabled.
- Fix the problem that incorrect bootcode version is displayed in the system information page after upgrading the firmware from version V3.0.1 to a newer version.
- Fix the problem that port LED will off forever after GS7xxTR (non-root bridge) connects to a managed switch (Root bridge) and an unmanaged switch which has loop in it and the only recovery way is to reboot the switch.
Change Version Number from 3 fields to 4 fields. (Ex: 4.x.y.z.)
Limitations / Known Issues:
- Refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5) will always bring you back to the login page.
Application Notes:
- Unlike most of other NETGEAR Switches, configuration change does not automatically get saved. Please go to Maintenance > Save Config > Save Configuration page to save the configuration if you want the settings to be preserved after reboot.
Upgrade Instructions:
- Download the new firmware to a convenient place on your local system.
- You would need to transfer the firmware to the switch via one of the following methods:
- Smartwizard Discovery tool
- TFTP in Maintenance > Download > TFTP File Download page
- HTTP in Maintenance > Download > HTTP File Download page
- Go to Maintenance > File Management > Dual Image Status page; and note the image number that shows version V4.0.2.2.
- Go to Maintenance > File Management > Dual Image configuration page and choose the active image (image1 or image2) corresponding to V4.0.2.2 to be updated.
- Check the ‘Active Image’ and ‘Update Bootcode’ option. (If you upgraded using Smartwizard Discovery Tool, Active Image will be set to the new firmware automatically. You only need to check the Update Bootcode option).
- Click Apply.
- You need to reboot the switch.
- The boot code will be updated.
