GS724TR/GS748TR Firmware Version 3.0.2
Modifications / Fixes:
- Updated to new boot code - fixes the problem in some rare cases where device might not be able to boot up.
Known Issues:
- When we delete the image from Web UI (Maintenance > File-Management > Dual image configuration) an error message pops up even though the image has been deleted successfully.
- System allows different VLANs with the same VLAN name.
Workaround: Although this issue has no affect on the functionality of VLAN, it will be fixed in the next release.
- Smartwizard Discovery tool fails to find the switch with high-rate of background broadcast and multicast traffic.
Workaround: Please follow the following steps (This issue will be fixed in the next release):
- Enable the ‘DiffServ Admin mode’ from QoS > DiffServ > Advanced > DiffServ config.
- Select the 'Class Configuration' link and create a new class (class1) with Protocol Type as UDP, Source L4 port as 64513 and Destination L4 port as 64515.
- Select the 'Policy Configuration' link and create a new policy (pol1) with member class as class1; and assign a Queue as 4 (you may select any other non-zero queue here).
- Select the 'Service Configuration' link and assign policy (pol1) on the interface that is connected to the PC with Smartwizard Discovery tool. A permanent fix will be provided in the next maintenance release.
- Refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5) will always bring you back to the login page.
Note: Unlike most of other NETGEAR Switches, configuration change does not automatically get saved. Please go to Maintenance > Save Config > Save Configuration page to save the configuration if you want the settings to be preserved after reboot.
Upgrade Instructions:
