FS728TS, FS752TS, FS752TPS Firmware Version 3.0.0.29
Important Note:
- Please make sure the bootcode version of your FS700TS smart switch is V1.0.0.8 before upgrading the firmware to this version.
- Please read the upgrade and downgrade instruction carefully before upgrading to the firmware version or downgrading to older firmware. Improper upgrade procedure may cause the device to become inoperable and must be replaced
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed the bug that System Up Time (sysUpTime) obtained via SNMP is incorrect.
Limitations and Known Issues:
- Only members of default VLAN (VLAN ID of 1) can manage the switch.
- Changing the default PVID would automatically remove the port from VLAN 1.
- Refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5) will always bring you back to the first page, which is the System Information page.
Workaround: Please manually navigate to the desired page again.
- The VLAN name does not get displayed correctly in the Multicast Group configuration table under Switching > Multicast > Advanced page.
Workaround: This does not prevent you from creating the multicast group, as long as the correct VLAN ID is selected.
- The display format of Local Engine ID is inconsistent with the input format under System > SNMP > SNMPv3 > Engine ID page. The display format is with colon “:” (eg. 00:e3:ab:cd:12:56). But, the input format must be without the colon (eg. 00e3abcd1256).
Workaround: Please enter the Engine ID without the colon. It will be fixed in the next release.
- Authentication method is not shown after configuring it under System > SNMP > SNMPv3 > User Configuration page.
Workaround: None. It will be fixed in the next release.
Upgrading
Download the link below to a PC , and unzip it to a convenient folder. This is a large file!
- To upgrade your FS700TS smart switch from an older version of firmware to V3.x.x.x, you would need to upgrade your device to the interim image (FS700TS- V1.0.1.inter19A1614U00242.ros) first.
- Then, perform the upgrade again from the interim image to V3.x.x.x.
- Once switch is running with version V3.x.x.x, there is no need to use the interim image again for upgrading the FW to any newer version.
The procedure for upgrading the device to the interim image is the same as the regular firmware upgrade. It can be downloaded via a TFTP server or Smartwizard Discovery utility.
- Start Smartwizard Discovery Utility, (included on the CD coming with your Smart Switch). If it is not installed, do so now, before continuing.
- In Smartwizard Discovery window, click Discover to find your Smart Switch. The switch will be listed in the device list table once found. (Note: Smartwizard Discovery uses broadcast packets to find Smart Switches, which means it can only find Smart Switches in the same routing domain.)
- Highlight the Smart Switch to upgrade and click Firmware Upgrade.
- Follow the screen prompts to complete the upgrade. Smartwizard Discovery will report a successful completion at the end.
Downgrading from V3.0.0.27 to an older version of FW
Note: It is not recommended to downgrade the firmware back to the old GUI style. If you want to downgrade firmware, please make sure the Active Image on the device is 2 and not 1. Otherwise, it will not succeed.
You can check the Active Image number in Maintenance > File Management page.
- It is imperative that you perform the downgrade twice using the same version of FW. Otherwise, the switch will be inoperable if you upgrade it again to the interim image.
