Bug Fixes:
- Fix the problem that the switch reboots if using SSL certificate files generated from NETGEAR managed switch.
- Fix the problem of switch not able to obtain IP address from some DHCP server. This particular DHCP server requires the source address from the DHCP discovery packet to be 0.0.0.0.
- Improve the PING (ICMP request) response time of FS728Tv2.
- Fix the problem that the switch does not try to obtain time from SNTP server anymore if the SNTP server is rebooted. When this happens, status of "Kiss of Death" is shown in the "Last Attempt Status" column of SNTP Server Status under System > Management > Time > SNTP Server Configuration page.
- Fix the problem that SNMP agent reports wrong statistics (ifXTable -> ifHCInoctets) on LAG interface.
- Fix the problem that DiffServ policy entry (QoS > DiffServ > Advanced > Policy Configuration) can't be deleted if the policy name contains "-".
- Fix the problem that excess VoIP traffics with Auto-VoIP enabled could cause the switch to reboot or making the WEB GUI inaccessible after some period of time.
Limitations:
- None.
Known Issues:
-
While the link is up, port cannot be removed from a VLAN if it is also member of a LAG.
Workaround: Remove the link or remove the port from the LAG first.
-
After setting the maximum number of allowed static locked MAC address to zero (under Security > Traffic Control > Port Security > Interface Configuration), no static MAC address can be added even when port security is disabled.
Workaround: Change back the "Max Allowed Statically Locked MAC" from 0 to 20.
-
Can’t remove a policy entry completely in the table under QoS > Diffserv > Advanced > Policy Configuration the first time.
Workaround: Need to select the same entry and click DELETE again

The procedure for upgrading the device to the interim image is the same as the regular firmware upgrade. It can be downloaded via a TFTP server or Smartwizard Discovery utility.
- Start Smartwizard Discovery Utility, (included on the CD coming with your Smart Switch). If it is not installed, do so now, before continuing.
- In Smartwizard Discovery window, click Discover to find your Smart Switch. The switch will be listed in the device list table once found. (Note: Smartwizard Discovery uses broadcast packets to find Smart Switches, which means it can only find Smart Switches in the same routing domain.)
- Highlight the Smart Switch to upgrade and click Firmware Upgrade.
- Follow the screen prompts to complete the upgrade. Smartwizard Discovery will report a successful completion at the end.
