Installation Instructions

You may need to reenter any configuration information you changed at some time in the past. Make sure you have a record of information such as ISP connection parameters and security settings.

  1. To reach the Upgrade menu, click Router Upgrade from the Maintenance section.
  2. Download and extract the new firmware to a convenient place such as your desktop.

  3. Using a browser, login to the router (the default URL is http://192.168.0.1). The user name is admin, and the default password is password.
  4. Under Maintenance, click Router Upgrade.

  5. Click Browse and locate the file which you just unzipped.
  6. Click Upload.
  7. Wait for the upgrade progress bar to complete and final prompt to appear.

For problems after upgrading

  1. Write down all the configuration information which you preveious entered manually. These typically include information from your ISP and security settings.
  2. Clear the configuration by pressing the Factory Defaults pushbutton on the rear panel for 10 seconds, until the Test LED blinks.
  3. Reenter your configuration information manually.
