- Improved the noise immunity of PPP state machine so that the PPP connection is not taken down if the ADSL line briefly goes down.

- Improved wireless stability. Previously the access point crashed under heavy loads.
- Some hardware could not use wireless channels 12 and 13 in European countries.
- Fixed incompatibility with voice service on some Sony Playstation 2 games.
- PPPoA incompatibilities with several ISPs are resolved.
- Fixed bug where erroneous entries were entered into the log for TCP port 65535.
- Fixed bug where the Test LED lit when the DHCP Server was disabled on the LAN.
New Features Overview, Version 1.4 Release 01
- IP over ATM (IPoA) support: RFC1577 Classical IP over ATM and RFC1483 routed over ATM lines are now supported. The Setup Wizard can auto-detect RFC1577.
- Country Selection: It is now possible to change the ATM parameters based on country selection in the Setup Wizard. It is also possible to choose the Wireless domain based on country selection in the Wireless Settings menu.
- Additional Wireless Options: Added the ability to disable the access point and the ability to disable broadcast of SSID.

- Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) was added and enabled by default. A check box was added to the Firewall Rules menu page to enable and disable the feature

- Network Time Server (NTP) now works when connecting to a PPPoA line.
- Fixed ADSL synchronization problem with some Deutsche Telekom lines.
- Fixed PPPoA disconnect problem with some ISPs.
- Improved stability when under heavy traffic loads.
- Maximum MTU size is no longer limited to 1362 bytes.
- Firewall Rules can now contain overlapping ports as long as they are directed to the same server on the LAN.
Upgrade Instructions
- Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your desktop.
- Using a browser, login to the router (the default URL is http://192.168.0.1). The user name is admin, and the default password is password.
- Under Maintenance, click Router Upgrade
- Click Browse and locate the file which you just downloaded and extracted:dg824m_1405.IMG
- Click Upload.
- Wait for the upgrade progress bar to complete and final prompt to appear.
