Bug Fixes

  1. Device stops responding to SNMP queries when CGD24G continuously queried.

Known Issues

  1. Old Port Triggering rule still work after disable or modify or delete it.. 

To Upgrade

To reach the Upgrade menu, click Router Upgrade from the Maintenance section. To upload new firmware:

  1. Download using the button below, saving to a convenient place such as your desktop.
  2. Edit the Configuration File as bellows,
    a. Use a DOCSIS configuration file editor to load a configuration file.
    b. Fill in Type 9 “Software Upgrade Filename” with the new firmware file
    name “CGD24G-100NAS_110909_V00073S.bin”
    c. Fill in Type 21 “Software SRV IP ” with the IP address of the TFTP
    server.
    d. Fill in “SNMP MIB Objects” with “1.3.6.1.2.1.69.1.3.3.0” for OID,
    Integer for Value Type, and “2” for Value. (Allow Provisioning
    Download)
    e. Fill in Type 32 “Manufacturer CVC” with Netgear CVC
  3. Save the configuration file with “HMAC-with Key” and Authentication String.3. Put the New Firmware and the configuration file into the specifiedUpload/download directory of the TFTP server.
  4. Power on the Cable Modem. CM will download the new image file and update the flash automatically after it completes the registration process.
  5. Wait for CM return to operational state and SNMP GET sysDescr and check the current version is 4.4.8R073-RG.

    Management Download Procedures:
    1. Power cycle the CM.
    2. Wait for CM to return to operational state.
    3. SNMP SET the following MIB,
    a. SNMP SET docsDevSwFilename = CGD24G-
    100NAS_110909_V00073S.bin
    b. SNMP SET docsDevSwServer = IP Address of configuration file server.
    c. SNMP SET docsDevSwAdminStatus = upgradeFromMgt(1),
    After the above SNMP SET, then CM will download the new firmware, save
    it to FLASH, and reboot itself.
    4. Wait for CM return to operational state and SNMP GET sysDescr and check the
    current version is 4.4.8R073-RG.
